PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUEL LID LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the operation of the fuel lid lock with motor assembly.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the fuel lid lock with motor assembly connector, and check that the fuel lid lock with motor assembly operates smoothly as follows.

Auxiliary Battery Connection

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

Open Operation

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel lid lock with motor assembly.

(2) Measure the shaft stroke.

15.45 to 16.65 mm (0.608 to 0.656 in.)

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel lid lock with motor assembly.

(b) Check the resistance of the limit switch.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Fuel Lid Close

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel lid lock with motor assembly.
