C05001F	Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Intermittent	The speed sensor signal is excessively noisy. The calculated change in wheel speed is more than 980 m/s2 for 5*1 or 20*2 seconds or more. The calculated change in wheel speed fluctuates between more than 500 m/s2 and less than -500 m/s2 for 5*1 or 20*2 seconds or more. When the vehicle speed is low, excessive noise in the speed sensor pulse signal is detected 3 times or more within 0.005 seconds for 5*1 or 20*2 seconds or more. • *1: The stop light switch assembly is OFF.
• *2: The stop light switch assembly is ON.

Procedure to clear warning lights (When not clearing DTCs)

Procedure
Repair or replacement. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Drive the vehicle at 54 km/h (34 mph) or more for 3 seconds or more to clear the warning lights.

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH (CHECK FOR FOREIGN MATTER)

(a) Remove the front speed sensor LH.

(b) Check the front speed sensor LH.

OK:

The front speed sensor LH tip is free of oil and foreign matter.

HINT:

If foreign matter of 1 mm (0.03937 in.) x 1 mm (0.03937 in.) or more is adhered to the front speed sensor LH, this DTC may be stored.

GO TO STEP 7

2.	CHECK FRONT SPEED SENSOR ROTOR LH (CHECK FOR FOREIGN MATTER)

(a) Remove the component with the front speed sensor rotor LH.

(b) Check the front speed sensor rotor LH.

OK:

The front speed sensor rotor LH is free of oil and foreign matter.

HINT:

If foreign matter of 1 mm (0.03937 in.) x 1 mm (0.03937 in.) or more is adhered to the front speed sensor rotor LH, this DTC may be stored.

3.	CLEAN FRONT SPEED SENSOR ROTOR LH

(a) Clean the front speed sensor rotor LH.

NOTICE:

Do not use parts cleaner when cleaning the front speed sensor rotor LH.

(a) Clear the DTCs.

Chassis > Brake/EPB > Clear DTCs

(b) Turn the ignition switch to off.

5.	PERFORM DEALER MODE (SIGNAL CHECK) INSPECTION (SPEED SENSOR CHECK)

(a) Using the GTS, perform a Dealer Mode (Signal Check) inspection sensor check and check that speed sensor Dealer Mode (Signal Check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete.

7.	CLEAN FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH

(a) Clean the front speed sensor LH.

NOTICE:

When cleaning the front speed sensor LH, make sure to clean the installation hole before installation.
