1. INSPECT NO. 1 POWER BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

U38-5 (CLS) - U38-2 (E)

Switch off

10 kΩ or higher

U38-5 (CLS) - U38-2 (E)

Switch on

Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 power back door control switch.

(b) Check that the LED illuminates.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the No. 1 power back door control switch connector, and check that the No. 1 power back door control switch LED illuminates.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → U38-6 (ILL+)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → U38-1 (ILL-)

LED illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 power back door control switch.
