CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

HINT:

After repairs have been completed, clear the DTCs and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
  4. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
  6. Drive the vehicle for approximately 10 minutes according to the freeze frame data items "Vehicle Speed", "Accelerator Position", "Hybrid/EV Battery Temperature 1 to 6" and "Hybrid/EV Battery Current".
  7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / HV battery / Utility / All Readiness.
  8. Check the DTC judgment result.

    HINT:

    • If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
    • If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
    • If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.

Hybrid/EV Battery Internal Electronic Failure (P31B549)

DESCRIPTION The battery ECU assembly monitors its internal operation and will store these DTCs when it detects an internal malfunction. DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition

Hybrid/EV Battery Stack 1 Circuit Resistance Out of Range (P33DA1E,P33DB1E)

DESCRIPTION The HV battery is composed of 60 cells (3.7 V each) in series. The battery ECU assembly monitors the internal resistance of each HV battery cell to detect malfunctions of the HV battery.

Hybrid/EV Battery Stack 1 Circuit Resistance Above Threshold (P33E01B,P33E11B)

DESCRIPTION The HV battery is composed of 60 cells (3.7 V each) in series. The battery ECU assembly monitors the internal resistance of each HV battery cell to detect malfunctions of the HV battery.

     Check For Intermittent Problems

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS HINT: Inspect the vehicle ECM using check mode. Intermittent problems are easier to detect with the GTS when the ECM is in check mode. In check mode, the ECM uses 1 trip detection logic, which is more sensitive to malfunctions than normal mode (default), which uses 2

Steering Angle Sensor Module Signal Stuck In Range (C05262A)

DESCRIPTION The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) determines the steering angle value based on data obtained from the steering sensor, yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly). DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Tro
