1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER HOUSING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
(1) Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides to remove the shift lever housing bracket
sub-assembly from the shift lock control unit assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the shift lever housing bracket sub-assembly.

While driving, if the heat generated by the transmission coupling assembly exceeds
a certain amount or if the estimated oil temperature of the transfer exceeds a certain
amount, the 4WD ECU assembly cancels 4WD control and stores DTC C1299.
