INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Specified Condition

6 (DRV) - 5 (E)

Drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed and held

Below 1 Ω

Drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly).

(b) Check illumination.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly).

Standard:

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (ILL+)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)

Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly).
