DESCRIPTION
The TCM continuously monitors its monitor IC. If it detects an internal malfunction, the TCM illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

HINT:
Read Freeze Frame Data using the GTS. The TCM records vehicle and driving condition information as Freeze Frame Data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, Freeze Frame Data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
| 1. | CLEAR DTC |
(a) Clear the DTCs.
Powertrain > Transmission > Clear DTCs(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
|
 |
| 2. | CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC P060747) |
(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
(b) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
(c) Wait for 1 second or more.
(d) Enter the following menus:
(e) Read the DTCs.
