Toyota Corolla Cross: Driver Identification Method cannot be Set

DESCRIPTION

When a setting assignment using the multi-display is performed, the smart key system (for Start Function), audio and visual system*1 will use the device when performing a search. If detected, settings can be assigned. If there is no detection, it is suspected that the radio and display receiver assembly or each system is malfunctioning.

  • *1: for Vehicles which display the assigned settings of Bluetooth devices on the multi-display

CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

(a) Temporarily replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) with a new one.

(b) Check if settings can be assigned again to an electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.

OK:

All of the electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies could be registered to the new certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) successfully.

CHECK RECALL OPERATION (Assigned Settings Inspection)

(a) Check if settings can be assigned again to an electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
